Close enough to comfort - I got these shoes because I started a retail job working on my feet for 7 hours a night. I had sneakers but they were not in dress code and after wearing them 10 days the sneakers killed my back and feet! After wearing the Encounters my lower back pain went away. I have never had a shoe with such a supportive arch so that took some time to get used to...I still am but its only been a week. The heel rubs so I put on some Band-Aids to protect them after my first night of blisters. My pinky toe on my right foot doesn't have enough room. I wear these with thin socks because I got my exact size 8.5. They look good at work but they are not slip resistant so it was okay for me working in apparel. I think they are cute for this kind of shoe. I love the Mary Jane style and the strap over the instep is super comfortable!! However make sure you don't have long pants on they will be on the floor. Logohoo is great! I got my shoes so fast. I needed them for work so the free overnight shipping was a super plus. These are my first Earth shoes and I am buying another pair (Earth Solar) but a bit bigger and in a wide. So I can wear thicker socks.
