AWESOME slip on - I tried many slip on athletic type shoes- New Balance, Ryka, Avia. This is by far the most comfortable and it is supportive w/o being too much so, sort of like great walking slippers. I have neuropathy in my feet but can wear these MANY hours at a time. I wouldn't walk five miles in these but I believe one could, they are that comfortable and supportive. Comfort right out of box. I wear a 12 in athletic shoes but ordered an 11 1/2 in these as my foot is a bit narrow and slip ons have a tendency to "slip" off! 11 1/2 works well in length w/ these. Awesome and awesome - Got these booties in tan, and they're fantastic. A WEE bit darker shade of "tan" than in these photos, but I think it makes them more versatile. And worn with bare legs? Makes them look a mile long! I followed others' advice and got a 1/2 size up (am normally a 7.5, regular width but bought 8), and they fit perfectly. If you run 4-7 miles everyday and have very flat feet--including problems not only with arches but also with the upper metatarsal area, you have got to get this sneaker. I have been wearing Brooks Ariel and they wear out way too fast lately. I switched to this Mizuno product and what a difference!! As far as I'm concerned, these boots are The Ones. They are simple, comfy, sexy, and made of soft nappa leather. They hit at a very flattering spot on my legs (I am 5'9"), and when OTK boots are no longer super popular, they will be great cuffed. Amazing! I would recommend getting a rubber half-sole put on at the shoe repair, however, since they can be a little slippery. Fit true to size and stay up fine on my average-sized calves.

As an avid runner, I replace my running shoes about every 4 months. These are by far the best shoes I've had in a long time. Since they are designed to be a trail shoe, there is more padding for the top of the foot (rocks and debris hurt a lot when you kick them up), which is great. I'm hard to fit and these fit like a glove. The stability technology works the way it should without weighing down the shoe.
