A little orthopedic...Great if you need it! Have very difficult feet to fit, but, a Ros Hommerson 8WW usually fits like a glove. This shoe fit true to size, but the toe box is quite high, so, there is extra room. The heel is a little large, but not much. Overall the shoe is just a lot of shoe. If you have real arthritic problems or swelling problems, it's great, it's simple, it's extremely well made and soft leather...if you don't quite have that difficult a time, I think there are cuter "not quite so much shoe" shoes.
