Comfortable, but not so durable. These shoes look awesome and skate great. They are very grippy, that is, until it starts to wear down. I?ve had these for a little over 2 weeks and I skate every day and I already have worn down all of the suede on my flipping foot in three different place. There is also a hole forming on the bottom of the shoe. However, a little shoe goo will do the trick. I would recommend these to someone looking for a sexy looking shoe with great comfort to boot.
Comfortable, wonderful shoes. Great arch support, great style, incredibly comfortable. It really is worth it to pay a bit more for an excellent shoe!
Comfortable platforms! I love the look of this shoe - I bought the beige color. I like being 4" taller b/c I'm only 5'4". I was hesitant on buying a high heel b/c I have a 14 month old but these are pretty comfortable and look great with shorts.
Comfortable boot that fits closer to calf than other Cowboy type boots I have; therefore, looks better than other worn outside of jeans. I like the rubber soles for winter. Fit true to size. Very cute.
Comfortable, Stable, and Cute - I need a stable shoe, so I usually wear Birkenstocks. Sometimes I wear the dressier Danscos for my "dress shoes". I found these and was so pleased. The toe box is roomy, the shoes are definitely stable, and I don't look like I'm wearing clogs when I should be wearing something more dressy. I wear a 38 Regular in Birkenstocks, a 39 in Dansco, and anywhere from an 8 to a 9 in regular shoes. If I can get a C width, I do. Although these come in a wide width, I was fine with the regular width.
Comfortable, cute true to size. What more could you ask for? I would definitely get more of these type of Skechers. Took a few wears to break in the front top of the shoe, but I have a high arch, so it may just be me. I'm 7+ months pregnant and I work overnights in a hospital... and these are the only shoes I wear. No complaints!
Comfortable right out of the box, my foot is on the narrow side and these boots fit nicely with a pair of socks. I am already shopping for my next pair of Born boots. Style and comfort who could ask for more!
Comfortable right out of the box! I have a bunion on my right foot so have to be careful what I wear. If you tend to be between sizes, I'd go a half size up. Recommend wearing a thicker sock for most comfort. Nice quality leather, not too shiny.
Comfortable professional shoe - Comfortable right out of the box, true to size and fits like a traditional A-E. Nice styling for a traditional shoe with a modern take.
Comfortable Business Casual - I personally would not wear these with a suit; however, they are perfect Friday shoes. These rank right up there with the most comfortable shoes in my collection, however, the looks are borderline boring, and will not draw a lot of compliments - they seem to get lost on the shuffle. These shoes are well constructed in typical Bruno Magli fashion, and wear very well. Recommended if you are not fishing for compliments!
Comfortable shoe with a mix of suede, leather and patent leather that give added interest to the basic mary jane style. The removable footbed allowed my smart "shoe guy" at my favorite shoe store (Chicks on Mercer Island) to add padding underneath to alleviate pain from plantar fasciitis. Naot shoes are generally not constructed for long walks, but this shoe is great for shorter jaunts and everyday activities.
Comfortable from the start - I have hard to fit feet (very wide). These fit from moment one, and felt like they were already broken in. They look great (not too flashy) -- just perfect for a simple boy like me.
Comfortable and beautiful shoe - I am a mother of the bride and I wanted a small heel that was elegant and comfortable. I ordered this shoe and love it. I thought it ran true to size and looks perfect on my foot. A little Bling on the toe adds to the fun.
Comfortable, durable, classic design, great workmanship. The Alaska boot is a lace-to-toe design, which allows the user to tune the fit more precisely. I can confirm that the boots do become more comfortable after wearing them for a couple of days. Quite stiff at first, the boots were noticeably more comfortable on the third day than on the first, as the leather gradually became more flexible and conformed to my feet. After a week, they feel very good, and working on concrete all day doesn't induce fatigue. My boots DO have the removable polyurethane insole, which a couple of other reviewers have mentioned that their boots lacked. Perhaps there was a design change, and the new advertising was online before all old stock was sold? In any event, my boots provide a high standard of comfort and arch support, with the insole providing some degree of cushion. Goodyear welt construction means that the boots can be resoled. The sole is a firm rubber, with very deep tread in a pattern unique to Caterpillar, so new soles should not be necessary for a very long time. The laces thread through four sets of D-rings, then around four sets of hooks bearing the CAT logo. All the hardware is riveted to the leather, and appears to be blackened (not painted) in a process similar to that used on firearms. The interior of the boot is lined with a moisture-wicking fabric; the padded tongue appears to be made of black suede. The overall workmanship appears to be flawless, with uniform, unblemished leather and perfect, evenly spaced stitching. There is only one feature which I feel detracts slightly from these boots, and that is the padded collar around the ankle. It appears to be made of some synthetic material which resembles leather. This reduces the overall perceived quality of the boot. These collars seem a bit incongruous with the rest of the boot, sort of like buying a Range Rover, and finding cheap vinyl seat covers. For this reason, I gave only 4 stars for "Look", 5 stars for everything else. I'd vastly prefer to see the collar made in the manner of the Dickies 6" "Trader On Wall Toe" (Logohoo SKU #120680), that is, leather all the way up on the outside, moisture-wicking fabric on the inside. If another material must be used, perhaps more breathable Cordura would serve better in this location. That said, padded collars are very common on other brands of boot as well, so it isn't as if Caterpillar is alone in this regard. I admit also that, prior to purchasing these Caterpillars, I've worn one pair of another brand boot every day for over two years, and had no problem with the synthetic material at the collar wearing out or cracking. Also, I notice that no other reviewer has commented on the collar, so perhaps it is less of a quality issue, and more of a personal preference. However, I hope Caterpillar considers changing the specification of the collar to something else. These Caterpillar Alaska boots look good with my work pants and with jeans for casual wear. Walking in them reminds me somewhat of driving my old Jeep truck, in that they have a ready-for-anything-under-any-conditions sort of feeling.
Comfortable loafer - Does what it is supposed to do, with a bit more support than the average penny loafer. I bought it for my 13 yo son for dressier occasions. He didn't complain bitterly, so that means it must be comfortable enough.
Comfortable...for work. I'm a bartender, so I bought these shoes because they have a platform with helps because you cannot wear heels behind a bar. They are a little slippery when wet. But not too bad. Over all I like them.
